Christian Nesvadba
CHRISTIAN NESVADBA — Christian Nesvadba is considered one of Europe's most promising artists, was born in 1977 in Vienna, into a family with an artistic heritage for several generations. In the regular school system his talent for drawing was soon recognized by his teachers and as a very young man decided to devote himself to an artistic career. His first and foremost tutor was his father, Gerhard Nesvadba, (also featured at Andrew's Gallery) a well known and highly successful artist in his own right. Christian's first paintings were done on his fathers' easel, but soon developed his own style — bold and fresh and vibrant.
His first major award was the prestigious SalzBurger Kulturfonds Prize, earned in 1997 when the artist was just twenty years old. Two one-man shows in Salzberg and Linz followed in 1998. Christian Nesvadba was featured in a one-man exhibition in Vienna in 1999, and his U.S.A. debut was at the New York Art Expo 2000. Christian Nesvadba has won numerous prestigious awards, exhibited in many galleries and is collected worldwide.
